This classic, bone-dry Riesling from the Rheinhessen in Germany was grown organically and displays all of Riesling's textbook characteristics beautifully - intense petrol aromas on the nose, crisp, lively acidity, and finely-etched stony minerality. The palate here is clean, lean and linear with zesty pineapple, key lime and granny smith apple flavors. Johannes Geil-Bierschenk, who currently helms Geil Estate, has ancestors who were some of the first vintners to cultivate wine in the Rheinhessen region.
