This funky, non-interventionist, 100% Tempranillo bottling hails from Rioja Alta in Spain and was made by Pedro Pecina Gil who is the son of Pedro Pecina "Senior" of Hermanos de Pecina Rioja fame. With winemaking in his blood, "Pedrito" as he is known, launched his own project to celebrate the old school vinification style of Rioja, using certified organic farming, carbonic maceration, and fermenting whole cluster in concrete vats. This wine is pure and delightful, showing deep purple layers of boysenberry, blackberry and black currant fruit.
