This beautifully structured, old vines blend of Mencia, Souson, Brancellao, Garnacha and Tempranillo was grown organically in the appellation of Valdeorras, which is located in Galicia, on Spain's western coast. Made by a female winemaker, this is brawny and toasty on the palate, with deep black cherry and blackberry fruit, and vivid spice notes of cinnamon, cardamom and clove. This was raised for one year in French oak barrels.
