This grippy, savory, incredibly fascinating wine is made of 100% Prieto Picudo which was farmed organically by visionary winemaker Pedro Gonzalez Mittelbrunn on the high-altitude plain of El Paramo Leones in Spain's Castilla y Leon region. Sourced from 100 year old vines and fermented with wild yeasts, this wine is all about showcasing the unique character of this indigenous Spanish grape and the arid terroir on which it was grown. Black-fruited and supple, this shows complex notes of horse saddle leather, tar and gravelly earth.
